Hooker was opened at $17 to win gold at the beginning of July, and on the back of patriotic punter support, now sits on the fourth line of betting.

Sydney’s chances of defeating the Pies on Saturday night have improved and their odds have shortened on the back of Brownlow Medalist Dane Swan not making the trip to ANZ Stadium.

After drifting out to as much as $3.00, the Cronulla Sharks have firmed into $1.10 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to make the NRL top eight.
