Money continues to come for Fremantle to cause an upset in tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final against Hawthorn with their odds backed in from $2.40 to $2.25.
Hawthorn remains a clear favourite at $1.68 but has eased from $1.58 due to the constant support for Fremantle.
“In the last couple of days bets are running 60/40 in favour of Fremantle which is surprising considering the Hawks have been the best team all year,” Centrebet’s Michael Felgate said.
“Hawthorn has been the 2013 premiership favourite since the day after they lost to Sydney last year but in the past few days we have seen a significant swing against them.”
“If the rain comes as predicted we could see even more support for the Dockers as most punters believe a wet Grand Final will suit them better,” Felgate said.
Punters are predicting a tight Grand Final with a winning margin of 1-39 points the favourite way for both teams.
In Norm Smith medal betting, punters have come for Sam Mitchell backing him in from $9 to $7 equal favourite to be best on ground.
“Mitchell was a huge plunge to win the Brownlow Medal on Monday night but punters missed out so they are having another crack on him to win the Norm Smith,” Felgate said.
