With three out of four outsiders getting up in week one of the finals, punters seem certain that the trend will continue this weekend, with more bets placed on Port Adelaide to beat Geelong and Carlton to defeat Sydney with online bookmaker Sportsbet Australia.
The Power remain $4.50 outsiders against Geelong ($1.22), while the Blues are $3.20 versus Sydney ($1.37).
“Last weekend proved that anything can happen in finals football and punters are looking to cash in again on the outsiders. In particular, there has been almost double the amount of bets on Carlton compared to Sydney,” said Sportsbet’s Shaun Anderson.
Hawthorn remain flag favourites after firming from $2.40 to $2.35, with Fremantle drifting from $3.70 to $3.75.
In the second week of the finals sportsbet.com.au will be refunding all losing first goal scorer bets if the first score of the match is a point!
