The Gold Coast Suns have firmed from $6.50 into $2.50 with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au to claim back-to-back AFL wooden spoons.
Following the Suns loss to Melbourne and their win over Port Adelaide in round 19, the GWS Giants have eased from $1.11 out to $1.50 to finish last.
The two sides face off this weekend and sportsbet.com.au has installed the Suns as the $1.40 favourite, with the Giants the $2.95 outsider.
“This weekend will pretty much determine who claims the spoon,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“Playing at home gives the Suns the advantage, but they do have injury worries, while the Giants will be confident given they beat the Gold Coast earlier this season.”
In other Round 20 matches, the West Coast Eagles have been installed as the $1.85 favourites against Geelong ($1.95), Sydney have been priced at $1.66 against Collingwood ($2.20) and North Melbourne have been opened at $1.65 for their clash with Essendon ($2.20).
